LEADING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

| Course Reg. Code: | LDRP200 |

Course Description
Many decisions are made in business and organizations with no forethought of how the decisions might impact the organizational processes and the well-being and productivity of the employees. The result is a change initiative that is unsuccessful, disgruntled employees and a dip in productivity and profits.
Change is examined from the human, financial, and technological perspectives. This course uses a business simulation as the basis of learning. Teams of 3-4 examine change management initiatives and develop solutions to problems. The final assignment is to develop and deliver a change management plan to an executive team. Mini-seminars and in-box assignments guide the participants throughout the simulation.

TRAIN THE TRAINER FOR DESIGN FOR SIX SIGMA AND LEAN SIX SIGMA

| Course Reg. Code: | LDRP500 |
Course Duration: | 5 Days |
Course Availability: | On-site Courses |
Course Description
SigmaPro's “Train-the-Trainer” program is an intensive 5-day, skill-based training course. It focuses on “Three Wheels of Mastery” necessary for motivating learners to use new skills on the job and for accelerating learning. This program is a requirement in many organizations deploying Six Sigma because it gives Black Belts a proven process for engaging the hearts and minds of others and for effectively, efficiently teaching them. Skillful training is necessary to more quickly build a “critical mass” of Six Sigma skills within the organization.
WHEEL 1: Demonstrating Expertise -- Beyond developing Six Sigma expertise, the Black Belts’ training role requires them to develop expertise in the adult learning process. This program teaches Black Belts how to plan highly productive sessions, techniques for capturing the “hearts” of adult learners, how to avert objections before they arise, and six critical steps for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of training/coaching sessions they conduct.
WHEEL 2: Planning & Presenting -- To be effective, Black Belts must be masterful communicators. This program teaches Black Belts techniques for organizing and presenting technical material in ways that dramatically increase clarity and accelerate comprehension. It also enables Black Belts to “master themselves,” manage nervousness, and build their credibility.
WHEEL 3: Engaging & Facilitating -- Black Belts must also be masterful facilitators – in the classroom, as well as in team meetings. This program focuses on the most critical skills required to engage others in dialogue and to facilitate meetings. It also enables Black Belts to skillfully field questions, respond to objections, maintain focus, manage red-herring issues, and manage disruptive behaviors (in ways that “win over” learners vs. alienate them).
The ultimate goal of training is that learners transfer their learning to the job (where learning counts) and produce superior, tangible results for the organization. High-impact training lies at the point where the Three Wheels of Mastery intersect. If one or more of the wheels is weak, it will impede (if not destroy!) learners’ ability, willingness, and commitment to using Six Sigma tools. Powerful, effective training requires all three wheels to be strong, in balance, and working together.
Candidate Qualifications
As part of SigmaPro's supplemental and sustaining curriculum, there are no formal requirements for participation in this training program. The target population for this course includes Champions, Master Black Belts and Black Belts who wish to increase their effectiveness in delivering training to technical as well as non-technical personnel.

How to identify necessary behaviors and skills for mastering each of the “Three Wheels of Mastery.”
How to apply the Basic Learning Process (the first step to “high-impact” training).

How to demonstrate four communication modes and how to skillfully use the modes to build credibility, clarity, and participation.

How to identify and demonstrate strategies for managing disruptive behaviors.
How to prepare three videotaped presentations using the techniques learned.
How to identify their training strengths; incorporate suggestions for increasing the impact of their training.
